The First Step in the Loan Process

To apply for a subsidized or unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can complete the FAFSA online or you can obtain a paper copy by calling (800) 4FEDAID.

What's next?

Your school will determine your eligibility for student loans once you have submitted your FAFSA. Schools are responsible for informing you of the types and amounts of aid you are eligible to receive.
